Saturday April 23 Noon to Sunday 9 May, 4 p.m. 2010(Show times are Weekends Only between Noon and 5 p.m. except by special arrangement)Dear Children and Teens, As young artists between the ages of 4 and 17 years of age, I would like to invite you to participate in St. John's next annual Children's Enviro-Art Show starting April 23th 2010.. Please keep in mind the theme "Ab Origine", which means "from the beginning" in Latin. Your work should reflect creative ideas, solutions, inventiveness or images of fantasy that you might dream-up on environmental leadership and problem-solving in our future. Your work doesn't have to be for sale, but should be suitably framed or prepared for hanging with a wire across the back. The artist's name (that's you) and title of the work should be written on the back. Sculptures must be accompanied with a stand. Mobiles are encouraged. To accommodate all applicants, please give advance notice of your intention to participate by March 15 2010, to Graham Smith, thekitemachine@rogers.com. (phone 613-230-4314). Please deliver your work between 6 and 9 p.m. on Wednesday April 21st or Thursday April 22nd, 2010 at St. John's Parish Hall on Elgin Street. It will be juried for suitability on the spot. The selected work must remain there for the duration of the show. You can retrieve your artwork on Sunday, 9th May, 2010 between noon. and 5 p.m. An application form can be picked up at the church office, or you can print out the attached application form Then complete the form with signed parental or school teacher's guidance and bring it with your art work on April 22 or April 21st, to St. John's Parish Hall, on Elgin Street. Please come to our Opening Party on Friday the 23rd at 6 p.m.. I would be delighted to see you there, as you greet our visitors and see your work on display.
