Approval to Negotiate the Sale of the Parking Lot
On Sunday, September 28, Vestry approved the following motion "Moved by Gay Richardson, seconded by Glenn Calder, that the Corporation of St John the Evangelist be given authority to enter into negotiations for the sale of the parking lot, with an additional three foot strip of land, to Teron Inc. The final terms of the sale would be presented to a Special Vestry for approval."
During the course of the parish dialogue on September 27 and Vestry on September 28, a number of people indicated that there needs to be an opportunity for input into the agreement to be negotiated with Teron Inc.
On Saturday, October 18, from 9:30 to 12:30 there will be a discussion of the Framework for Negotiation for the sale of the parking lot to Teron. This will provide an opportunity to discuss and provide input into the agreement to be negotiated. Additional discussions will be scheduled if required. As well, there will be a presentation by the Affordable Housing Committee on its work to date related to the option to purchase condo units for rent.

and the Special Vestry September 28On Saturday, September 27 almost 60 people gathered to provide input and ask questions concerning theARC presentation made by Cecilia Humphreys on September 21, development of the parking lot and affordable housing, and financing.
A report, which includes the questions, suggestions and concerns with responses as well as a summary of the Vestry meeting on Sept 28, including the presentation made by Mr. Bill Teron, is available in hard copy in the church office. It has been circulated by e-mail to Parish Council, ARC, the Affordable Housing Committee and the Stewardship Committee. Meeting Schedule
Parishioners are welcome to attend as observers both Parish Council and ARC meetings. New members are always welcome at the Affordable Housing Committee. Following is the schedule of meetings for the next three months:

- ARC - October 14, November 11, December 9
- Affordable Housing - October 20, November 17, December 15.
