On Sunday 5 November 2006, St John's hosted members of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Orleans at our 10.15 a.m. Eucharist and members from our parish participated in their worship service. The occasion was the 5th Anniversary of the "Full Communion" fellowship agreement between the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Canada and the Anglican Church of Canada.

Participants in the Lutheran-Anglican exchange of delegations last Sunday all reported being warmly and enthusiastically received.

About 15 members from each parish (Resurrection Lutheran in Orleans and St John's) took part. Our thanks go to the St John's delegation: Lenore and Henry Sawatzky, Gloria Gifford, Ian Myles and Michelle Smulders with Jamie and Paul, Detlef Dransch with Erick and Eva, Brian Wannop and Frank Kajfes, Michael Wolff, Hanns Skoutajan, and Gay Richardson.
