March 2008
The winter of 2007/08 may not make it into the record books but it most certainly will remain in our 'memory books'. On the weekend of 8/9 March Ottawa received 56 cm of snow. To make sure it was deposited in the most awkward locations the snow was accompanied by winds up to 70 km. That Sunday, St John's was prepared to celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Lent but only a very few hardy souls were able to make it to church. Fortunately for them, Kathryn and Gordon slept close to the church Saturday night to make sure that services were possible on Sunday.
Gordon went out on Monday morning and took a number of photos for our "memory book" of this recent storm.
